Short-term Bounce

SP500 – 200d MA Setups

May 25, 2011

From this morning’s SP500 200-day scan found here,  for potential long trades I am looking for the following criteria:

1. Stocks that have had large declines into 200ma (high energy, think “rubberband”), not stocks that have been bumping along (no energy)

2. Stocks that are at major support

I love to combine these stocks with OGF (Opening Gap Fill) when I can find it.

NOTE: AMAT earning out and downgrade today

Radar – short term setup in SLV.

NOTE: this is a multi-day setup for a rally back to the 50/20ma and 38% ret area.  Requires holding overnight (and weekend for today) and there is gap risk:

Gold Stock Review

April 26, 2011

Currently reviewing gold stocks on radar screen given that recent sell-offs appear to be somewhat overdone short term. Looking for good r/r entries at support. For ex:  bought KBX 1.49, alarms in for EXK 10.25, and MVG 12.08.
